    Canthoplasty

By extending the eye length and increasing overall eye size,
it improves tired-looking eyes into a more open, refreshed, and naturally soft appearance.

    Booster
    for closed-off eye appearance

A clear and lively eye appearance depends on the most suitable double eyelid line
and the amount of iris exposure.

    • By considering each individual’s unique anatomical conditions,
a clearer and more defined eye appearance
      can be achieved.
    • In eyelid corner surgery, only a minimal incision
is made close to the conjunctival line
      to prevent visible external scarring.
    • Through delicate and precise surgical techniques,
long-lasting results are achieved and recurrence is prevented,
      leading to high patient satisfaction.

    YUNO’s Canthoplasty Methods

This procedure not only removes the epicanthal fold at the inner corner of the eye but also adjusts the direction of the inner eye corner.
The incision is made on the inner side of the eye to achieve a more open and refreshed eye appearance.

    Design Decision

After evaluating each individual’s eye structure and inner corner shape, the surgical range and design are determined.

    Epicanthal fold incision

Along the medial canthal area, the epicanthal fold is carefully incised while ensuring that excessive lacrimal lake exposure is avoided.

    Closure of surgical site

The incision is delicately sutured on the inner side to ensure minimal visibility of scars.

    After surgery

As the previously covered inner eye area opens up, the starting point of the eye is extended, creating a more open and refreshed appearance.

By opening the epicanthal fold at a 45-degree upward angle, the sharp and pointed inner eye area is softened into a more natural and refreshed shape.
This procedure also helps achieve a wider variety of double eyelid designs.

    Design Decision

The design is customized based on each individual’s eye structure and preferred double eyelid shape.

    Epicanthal fold incision

To minimize visible scarring, the inner side of the epicanthal fold is incised, followed by an upper diagonal epicanthoplasty.

    Closure of surgical site

The incision is carefully sutured on the inner side to ensure minimal visibility.

    After Surgery

As the upper inner corner of the eye opens at a 45-degree angle, the eyes become more refreshed and defined.

A procedure that horizontally extends the outer corner of the eye, involving an incision at the junction where the upper and lower eyelids meet,
and extending it through to the inner conjunctival layer of the eyelid.

    Incision after design

After assessing the expandable area, both the skin and conjunctival inner layer are incised.

    Recurrence prevention

To prevent re-adhesion, the orbicularis oculi muscle is dissected and firmly fixed to the periosteum.

    Closure of surgical site

The incision is delicately sutured on the inner side to minimize visible scarring.

    After Surgery

The horizontal length of the eyes is extended, creating a more natural and refreshed appearance.

A procedure that gently lowers the tilt of the eyes, extending their length while bringing upturned outer corners downward
to create a softer and more gentle impression.

    Incision after design

After determining the desired angle of the eye, an incision is made in the conjunctiva on the inner side of the outer corner.

    Fixation of structures

The tissues are pulled downward at a 45-degree angle to create an S-shaped lower eyelid contour, then firmly fixed to the periosteum.

    Closure of surgical site

The incision is carefully sutured on the inner side to minimize visibility.

    After Surgery

As the outer corner angle is adjusted downward, a sharper impression is softened into a more gentle and balanced appearance.

    • Medial + Upper Epicanthoplasty

Combining medial and upper epicanthoplasty can significantly improve closed-off eyes
into a brighter and more defined look.

    • Lateral Canthoplasty + Lower Epicanthoplasty

Combining lateral and lower canthoplasty can widen both the horizontal and vertical dimensions
of the eyes, creating a more open and refreshed appearance.
